After a long period of limited communication, I wanted to reconnect and share a concise update on my recent work and upcoming projects.

Over the past year, my public-facing activity —including the Screenwriting Courses blog— has slowed down. This was largely due to an increased focus on long-form writing and screenplay development. While this meant postponing the third course on television screenwriting in 2025, it also resulted in two projects that are now actively moving forward.

"Spondes" (aka Libations)

In 2025, I published my first short story as part of the anthology Libations. The collection sold out its first print run (August 2025), with a second edition planned for 2026.

My contribution, “The Mark of Judas,” is a genre-driven crime story with supernatural elements, introducing the character of Porfyría Dubyiótu, a police officer investigating a murder in northern Greece that gradually reveals metaphysical implications beyond the logic of a conventional serial crime.

The strong reader response to the story led me to expand the material into a longer narrative, currently in development as a book, with the intention of publication by the end of 2026.

The anthology was produced with the support of Tales of the Wyrd and published in collaboration with  Unknown Kadath, a Thessaloniki-based bookstore and cultural hub specializing in speculative fiction. Supporting Libations directly supports independent genre publishing in Greece. A shout-out to Tales of the Wyrd team and its editors, Dimitra Nikolaidou and Victor Pseftakis — without whose guidance Libations would never have been published.

If you would like to support my work in a tangible way during this period, getting a copy of Libations from your local bookstore is the most direct way to do so.

It's Always Colder In The Shadows (aka "Mouchroma")

In parallel, 2026 will be primarily dedicated to the development of the feature film screenplay “Mouchroma,” co-written with Marios Tsipopoulos.

The project has received development funding from the Greek Film Centre, and the screenplay will be developed throughout 2026, with the aim of entering production stages in 2027.

"Mouchroma" follows Petros, an amateur rapper working as a delivery boy, who lives with and cares for his younger brother. His attempt to maintain a lawful life is disrupted when their uncle —a criminal figure recently released from prison— tries to force Petros back into organized crime. As family secrets surface, the story explores responsibility, inherited violence, and the struggle for self-determination within a contemporary urban Greek setting.

Looking ahead

Due to the development schedule of "Mouchroma," among other obligations, I will not be offering screenwriting courses during the first half of 2026. The third course on television screenwriting is tentatively planned for autumn 2026, and all expressions of interest remain valid.

Thank you for following my work and for your continued interest. I look forward to reconnecting in a more regular capacity as these projects progress.
